Delete Your PetSociety Account
We're sorry to see you go. This page explains how to delete your PetSociety account and what happens to your data.
How to Delete Your Account
- Open the PetSociety app on your device
- Go to your Profile tab
- Tap the Settings icon (gear icon)
- Scroll down to Data & Privacy
- Tap Delete Account
- Confirm your decision when prompted
What Data Is Deleted
When you delete your account, the following data will be permanently removed:
- Your profile information (name, email, bio, profile photo)
- Your pet profiles and photos
- All posts, comments, and likes you've made
- Your messages and chat history
- Your followers and following lists
- Community memberships
Data Retention
After you request account deletion:
- Your account will be deactivated immediately
- Your data will be permanently deleted within 30 days
- Some anonymized, aggregated data may be retained for analytics
- Data required for legal purposes may be retained as required by law
Warning: Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. Please make sure to export any data you want to keep before deleting your account.
Delete Data Without Deleting Account
If you want to delete specific data without deleting your entire account:
- Go to Settings → Data & Privacy → Delete Behavioral Data to remove usage analytics
- Go to Settings → Data & Privacy → Export My Data to download your data first
- Manually delete individual posts, photos, or pets from your profile
