Child Safety Standards

Effective November 1, 2026

PetSociety is a social network for pet owners. We have zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) and for child sexual abuse material (CSAM). These standards describe how we prevent, detect, and respond to such content and conduct, in line with Google Play's Child Safety Standards policy and applicable law.

1. Prohibited content and conduct

The following are strictly prohibited anywhere on PetSociety, including posts, comments, profiles, pet profiles, communities, events, live streams, and private messages:

• Any sexual content involving a minor, real or simulated, including CSAM.
• Grooming: contacting or befriending a minor with the intent of sexual abuse or exploitation.
• Sextortion: threatening or blackmailing a minor using real or alleged intimate images.
• Sexualization of minors, including depicting or describing a minor in a sexualized manner.
• Trafficking of minors for sexual exploitation.
• Soliciting, sharing, or linking to any of the above, on or off the platform.

2. Prevention

• Age gate at signup (13+), with removal of accounts found to belong to younger users.
• Private accounts and per-user messaging controls (anyone, connections only, nobody).
• Blocking: any user can block another user, which prevents all further contact.
• Content and account review by our moderation team, with logging of moderation actions.

3. In-app reporting

Every post, comment, profile, and message can be reported from inside the app using the Report option. Reports are reviewed by our moderation team. Reports involving a possible minor or any CSAE concern are prioritized and reviewed first.

4. How we respond

• Removal: CSAM and CSAE content is removed immediately upon detection or confirmation.
• Account action: Accounts involved are permanently banned. Related accounts may also be removed.
• Reporting to authorities: We report confirmed CSAM to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and cooperate with law enforcement as required by law. We preserve relevant evidence for investigators.
• No re-distribution: Reported material is never shared beyond what is required for reporting to the appropriate authorities.

5. Compliance with child safety laws

PetSociety complies with applicable child safety laws, including the U.S. federal requirements to report apparent CSAM, the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), and equivalent laws in the regions where we operate. We review these standards regularly and update them as laws and platform policies change.
